The King Sword is the first of a series of fantasy novels set in the
world of Erderelm. This is a world that is by turns familiar and terrifying,
peaceful and disturbing, comforting yet haunted by the memory of evil.
In the least likely of settings - an uneventful, almost forgotten backwater - unexplained events intrude themselves into the life of a young boy. A dreamer, a lover of the quiet life, young Doran of Oakvale is about as far as you can imagine from one who would bear the accolade of "hero."
But the currents of history do not respect our wishes or our hopes.
